This game was a breakout game for Iowas Tim Dwight, an extraordinary receiver and kick returner who went on to the NFL. Penn State jumped out to an early lead and seemed to be in control until Dwight returned a punt 83 yards for a touchdown to cut into the Lion lead. Later, he caught a pass on second-and-34 and wasnt tackled until he was at the Penn State 4. Penn State rolled up 247 yards in offense in the first half but could only manage 76 in the second half and crossed midfield only once in the final 30 minutes.
